Characterization of wastewater and environmental monitoring under applicable regulations (CMM 2008-47, RAVQ 1124, LQE, RESAEU, REMMMD)

Does your company’s water discharge comply with regulations? Generally speaking, municipalities have regulations aimed at regulating water discharges into the municipal sewer network, whether industrial, domestic or rainwater (for example CMM regulation 2008-47, RAVQ 1124 of Quebec City, etc.). Industries are particularly targeted by regulations regarding their volumes of water used as well as the characteristics of their discharge into the sewer. Also, under section 22 of the Environmental Quality Act, any operator of an industry likely to generate emissions or discharges to the environment must hold a certificate of authorization issued by the ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MELCCFP). Occasionally, the certificate of authorization specifies the type of monitoring to be carried out and the sewer discharge standards to be respected.

Whether or not you have a certificate of authorization issued by the MELCCFP, we can help you check whether your discharges comply with current standards and thus correct problematic situations when necessary. The services we offer will allow you to avoid severe penalties that can accompany non-standard discharges.
